RAINBOW MEALS

Delivering delicious and nutritious meals across the community

Eating a healthy, balanced diet plays a key role in keeping the body strong. Poor nutrition can lead to delirium, frailty, and increase your risk of developing a number of age-related diseases including disorders of impaired cognitive function.

This is why the Rainbow Foundation delivers meals across the community 3 days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Rainbow Meals are not only delicious, but they also provide a healthy balance of protein, carbohydrates and at least two vegetables each day to help maintain good nutrition.

Please order at least 24-hours in advance.

Did you know?

It is estimated that over 3 million people in the UK and 1 in 10 people aged 65 and over are malnourished or at risk of malnutrition.

The Malnutrition Task Force from Age UK believe that tackling malnutrition is everyone’s business, and we here at the Rainbow Centre agree. Not only does malnutrition impact the health and wellbeing of our elderly communities but the long-term impact can lead to an increase in demand on GP services and a subsequent increase in hospital admissions.
